To connect a computer to a TV using hdmi cables high speed, the first thing you need to do is discover an HDMI port. Not all computers have an HDMI port, but most new computers. If your desktop computer does not have an HDMI port, you must install a new video card. HDMI port is usually located on the back of the computer, but some laptops have a port on the side.
If your computer does not have an HDMI port, but it has other outputs such as DVI or DisplayPort, you can buy an adapter to connect the HDMI cable. If you change the DVI to HDMI, you must use a separate cable for audio; DVI does not transfer the audio signal.
There is also a USB to HDMI adapter for computers that do not have a video port. You then can connect a computer to the HDMI input on the TV. Plug the HDMI cable into both devices. The computer will automatically detect if the TV is turned on.
Switch to TV input using the controller. Your TV must be set to the HDMI input where your computer is connected. Use the “Input” on the controller to find the right input. If you are not sure which cable, find a physical port on the TV which is usually labeled.
